Hair Removal is a laser procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light to remove unwanted hair for both Men and Women.

At Adam and Eve Laser, we use 2 different types of the most updated machinery Candela GentleMax Pro® & Deka AGAIN, which has been to designed to treat all skins I-VI.

Both laser machines combine 755 nm Alexandrite laser with the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser allowing it to be used safely and comfortably on all skin types whilst ensuring maximum results. Medical-grade FDA and TGA-approved Candela™ GentleMax Pro System & Deka Again, which is the most advanced and effective laser for hair removal in the world.

How does Laser Hair Removal work?

Laser hair removal uses a concentrated beam of light to target the hair follicles. The pigment in your hair follicle absorbs the light and heat, damaging the follicle enough to discourage further hair growth and causing the hair to fall out.

In darker skin types, the laser energy targets the hair follicle’s blood supply. With each treatment, the follicle is further impaired and will become unable to grow more hair.

Laser hair removal can only treat your hair during the growth phase, so complete course of treatments is required to see best results.

How many treatments will I need?

For best results, we recommend an initial course of 6-12 treatments at monthly intervals. As you progress through your treatments, time between treatments may increase as hair re-growth reduces.

Pre treatment

• Avoid tanning beds and sunless tanning products to prevent adverse reactions.
• Avoid sun exposure greater than 24hours prior, even if wearing sunscreen.
• Treatment area must be clean-shaven 12-24 hours prior to treatment. Unshaved clients will be rescheduled. Razors are not provided in the clinics.
• Skin must be clean and free of makeup, lotions, oils, deodorant, sunless tanning products, numbing cream, etc. Products on the skin can increase the likelihood of adverse reactions from the laser.
• Avoid physical activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours before treatments.
• Skin that is sunburned, hot to the touch, peeling or is otherwise damaged cannot be treated.

Post Treatment

• Must follow 1 week post laser aftercare for best results. This helps sooth, exfoliate any dead skin to allow the hairs to come through and fall out.
• 1st 5 days to apply Garden of Youth Soothing Laser Gel all over the treated area. This soothes and protects against infection.
• Day 5 start exfoliating with Garden of Youth Himalayan salt scrub to remove dead cells and allow the hairs to fall out instead of being trapped under the skin.
• Apply Garden of Youth Body custard daily to hydrate and nourish your skin.
• Mild redness and swelling of the hair follicles may occur (histamine reaction). This is normal and should lessen with time. Avoid picking or scratching the skin. Cool cloths may be applied.
• Avoid sun exposure, and other sources of UV light for 7 days post treatment. Careful sun exposure of no more than 30 minutes may be resumed from days 7-14 post treatment with daily use of zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+). Avoid tanning beds for 14 days post treatment.
• Apply a zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+) and use daily throughout treatments.
• To reduce heat retention, avoid tight clothing, boots, heated seats, etc. The body needs time to cool down after treatments to avoid complications.
• Avoid activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours after treatment, or longer if redness and bumps persist.
• If redness, swelling or itching continues, an over-the-counter cortisone cream and/or an oral antihistamine (Benadryl) may be used in addition to cool cloths and Restorative Gel. Do not apply ice directly to the treated areas.
