Salicylic Acid derived from willow bark is an oil soluble BHA providing deeper exfoliation helping to minimise excess oil and lift debris to clarify the skin. Salicylic acid can be used for problematic skin, ageing skin to improve texture, sun damage and to treat pigmentation.

Salicylic acid is the only acid that works within the skins pore to effectively treat congested and problematic skins. Salicylic Acid acts directly on oily skin problems or those prone to acne, whiteheads, and skin blemishes. The salicylic acid formula mixes freely with existing oils on the epidermis as well as sebaceous material within the follicle.

How does Salicylic Acid Peel Work?

Salicylic acid works by penetrating the hair follicle and oil gland and dissolving the acne-causing blockages of dead skin cells, oil, and other debris. It also works to reduce the amount of oil being produced by your oil glands, making it less likely that new acne-causing blockages will form or grow bigger.

Benefits:

  • Hydrates a dehydrated/dry and sensitive skin
  • Lowers inflammation
  • Reduces redness, dull, and uneven skin
  • Reduces acne inflammation.
  • Lowers oil production
  • Dissolves milia and ingrown hairs
  • Salicylic acid cleans out your pores and sloughs away dead skin cells that build up around your hair follicle and cause blemishes.‌
  • Anti-Inflammatory
  • Antifungal
  • Improves hyperpigmentation

Is this peel safe for my skin type?

We consider the Salicylic Acid peel safe for most skin types; however, we will assess your skin to determine the most suitable peel for your skin type and concern.

How many treatments will I need?

This will depend on your main concern and condition of your skin. Between 3-6 regular treatments to treat most skin concerns. We would also create you a maintenance plan and home care routine to ensure your results are long lasting and maintained.
