Modified Jessner is a combination of three different ingredients including: lactic, salicylic, and citric. Formulated with an exclusive, precise and synergistic composition of chemo exfoliants. This modified clinical and chemical face peel is ideal for skin rejuvenation, fine lines, wrinkles, superficial acne scarring and is safe on sensitive and dark skin types. This peel stimulates new collagen and elastin fibre formation, ideal for cosmetic treatment of small wrinkles, acne, pigmentation and skin photo-aging.

 

How does Modified Jessner Peel work?

Lactic acid (14%) an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) used as an exfoliating agent as well as encouraging epidermis and dermis thickening. The Lactic acid activates collagen and elastin formation and increases hyaluronic acid concentration in the extracellular matrix.

Salicylic acid (14%) a beta hydroxy acid with great lipid affinity used as an exfoliant due to is keratolic properties. Besides regulating sebhorrea, salicylic acid has antiseptic, bacteriostatic and fungicide properties.

Citric acid (8%) also an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA acid) with exfoliant, antioxidant and anti-aging properties. Having a higher molecular weight than lactic acid its keratolytic action is less. The combination of these three acids achieves recovery of lost skin tone, texture and luminosity.
