The Mandelic acid peel is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. It’s considered a ‘superficial’ peel’ which means it is one of the gentler chemical peels. This mild acid paired with its antibacterial properties is perfect for all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin. The high concentration of AHA’s also helps to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and treat hyperpigmentation, acne, and other skin conditions.

 

How does Manedlic Acid Peel work?

It works to accelerate cell turnover by dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together, helping to remove dead skin on the surface that can lead to dull complexions, as well as fine lines. Mandelic has a larger molecule which penetrates the skin slowly and evenly.
