About TCA
A TCA peel is a non-invasive skin treatment used to treat skin discolorations, scarring, and wrinkles. These peels get their name from trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is used to clear away dead skin cells to reveal the newer and smoother skin layers below.
TCA peel, short for trichloroacetic acid peel, is a procedure used to improve the appearance of skin on the face, neck, and hands. It involves applying a solution containing trichloroacetic acid to the skin, which causes the top layers of skin to peel off over a few days to a week. TCA helps with reducing fine lines and wrinkles, smooths out rough and uneven skin texture, minimises the appearance of acne scars and improves skin tone and pigmentation irregularities.
How does TCA work?
A TCA peel dissolves cells in the top layer of your skin (epidermis). As the skin that’s been affected by TCA application peels off, new cell growth is encouraged underneath. Once that top layer of skin has peeled off, a layer of brand-new skin cells becomes visible. Often, the new layer of skin is smoother and less affected by “imperfections” such as wrinkles and acne scarring.

Is this peel safe for my skin type?
We consider the TCA Peel is safe for most skins, however we will assess your skin to see if it’s the best treatment for your skin. This treatment does require a 2-4 week prep to ensure your skin is able to tolerate the peel.
How many treatments will I need?
This will depend on your main concern and condition of your skin. Between 3-6 regular treatments to treat most skin concerns. We would also create you a maintenance plan and home care routine to ensure your results are long lasting and maintained.
